I was thinking of my sweet husband this morning and I had this one last thought to add to my previous post on being my children's friend.
Imagine if I said the thing about my husband. "I am your wife, not your friend."
Isn't it just kind of shocking when applied to that sacred and intimate relationship? It's ridiculous. How can you fulfill the roll of husband/wife without friendship? My husband is actually my best friend. But somehow we are supposed to parent without being friends with our kids? How exactly will that work?
