A Day Brim Full of New Opportunities!

Today was the first time ever I got to have a vehicle towed!  As it turns out, that roadside assistance on my insurance really comes in handy.  Everybody took good care of us and it took much less time than the hour they told me it would take.

Another new experience was sitting there on the side of the road in front of an accident.  After the accident was cleared, the police man came up to talk to me and find out what was going on.  Am I the only one, or does the thought of interacting with police officers strike dread into anyone else's heart?  Any time I see someone in uniform I am worried that I am doing something wrong.  But he was nice enough and since he had to write up an accident report anyway, he pulled up right behind us to help redirect traffic around.

He also called me "miss".  So he's definitely a keeper.

Also, I can't decide whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that all the guys at the car repair shop recognize me and know me by name.

Two neighbors saw me there on the side of the road.  One only saw me walking back from taking Wink potty across the street and probably didn't associate me with the monstrous vehicle pulled over to the side of the road that she had just passed.  I didn't actually see the other neighbor.  But she saw me and immediately called to see what she could do.  I had everything under control.  Until about five minutes later when I realized there was no way I was going to be able to pick up Mack and Pink from school.  So I called her back and she willingly made the trip for me.  I am so grateful for good, helpful people.

  2. No. Baboo was driving home from work when the car died. It was just coincidental that she just passed an accident when she needed to pull over.
